The Somme remembers.
A look from Claude Paul.

From June 28 to December 6, 2026
In Péronne

This unique photographic exhibition highlights thirteen years of images dedicated to places of memory and commemorations in the Somme.

Through the sensitive and humane gaze of the photographer from Péronne, Claude Paul – whose collection joined the Historial’s collections in 2025 – it reveals how the memory of the Great War is transmitted and reinvented today.

With a sober and contemplative display, the exhibition highlights both the work of the photographer and that of memorial institutions, inviting everyone to reflect on the persistence of commemorative gestures and their role in our collective memory.
